Still Life With Warrior

"The Fruit Loops and batshit bomb:"

"A Woodpecker original.  Sugar is an unstable chemical that loves to oxidize as passionately as sulfer does and in much the same way.  In preparing this dish think of sugar as sulfer.  The components of gunpowder are sulfer, carbon, and saltpeter.  Fruit Loops, or any similar breakfast cereal, contains a good deal of sugar and carbon.  (Bernard endorses Fruit Loops for bombs.  For his morning repast, he prefers Wheaties.  With beer.)  As for saltpeter (potassium nitrate), batshit is a perfect source.  If batshit is
unavailable, bird doo will do.  The older the guano the better.  Aesthetic as well as pragmatic considerations make the fresh wet splat inadvisable.  Grind up the Fruit Loops.  Mix in the batshit thoroughly.  When mixing Fruit Loops and batshit, don't be surprised if you find the color attractive.  In fact, you may end up with a clearer understanding of art and it's origins.  For that reason, this is the bomb recommended to reviewers and critics.  Place the mixture in a container and ignite it.  Gunpowder, contrary to what you might expect, is not much of a boomer.  The Fruit Loops and batshit bomb won't flatten any buildings, but it makes a marvelous amount of smoke.  Certainly it makes more smoke than a pack of Camels.  That is, it makes more smoke than a pack of Camels unless... unless the missing race of redheaded Argonians gets it's message accross."
-Tom Robbins

Make sure that it reads Still Life in your plugins directory.  Then choose one of the variants listed below while in options during multiplayer gaming:

Australian Rules Rugby has 2 starting locations.  In keeping with the theme of "Still Life With Woodpecker" by Tom Robbins, which inspired this map, the Berserks can place satchel charges.  Each Berserk carries one charge to begin with, but can carry up to four.  They can not ignite them however, so keep a dwarf handy.  That's right!  It's a working rugby map.  This is a Myth style variant.
Units:  Are a mix of original and modified Myth: The Fallen Lords and Myth II: Soulblighter units.

The games are Steal the Bacon, Captures, Scavenger Hunt, Terries, Balls on Parade, Flag Rally, Rugby (Stampede!), and Assassination.  (Assassination is only available on the Myth II: Soulblighter plugin.)

Ghol Squad Rugby Riot has 2 starting locations.  In this variant the primary unit is the Ghol.  This is very similar to the Kelstek's variant "ghol soccer", but you actually play rugby instead.  This is a Myth style variant.
Units:  Are original Myth: The Fallen Lords and Myth II: Soulblighter units.

The games are Steal the Bacon, Captures, Scavenger Hunt, Terries, Balls on Parade, Flag Rally, Rugby (Stampede!), and Assassination.  (Assassination is only available on the Myth II: Soulblighter plugin.)

Still Life With Warrior has 2 starting locations.  This is a full scale army variant where you can take advantage of more of the game types then just the rugby.  Try to remember that this is a rugby map though.  The Berserks in this variant can also place satchel charges.

More Thanks To:

Electrofryer, for helping me test this monstrosity.  Meko for keeping me interested in making this.  Especially since I've been talking about making it since last year and have been working on it, piece by piece, just as long.  El Bastard for his sage advise, and the use of some textures from his Mesa de Sangre' Myth: The Fallen Lords map.  Thanks to HATE MAN, for his help early on when I was working on the first mesh for my Myth: The Fallen Lords version.  Again Electrofryer, for making crazy maps that I've liked and for giving me inspiration.  Also, for reminding me that fun comes in many different forms for all of us.

Notes:

This is a sports map, and is for amusement only.  The primary reason I made this was for the Rugby, other games are on the map just for the hell of it.  If you don't get the parody of the Tom Robbins book...  you should visit your local library and ask for "Still Life With Woodpecker" by Tom Robbins.  It's very enjoyable reading.  You are meant to use this free of charge.  Everything contained in these plugins is Copyright 1997-1998 in whole or in part Bungie Software Products Corporation.
