:::: 1. Using this Plugin
------------------------------------

To use this plugin, simply place it into your "plugin's" folder inside your Myth II folder. Then start up the game, and HOLD SHIFT when selecting a new game. Homeland should appear as one of the levels to select, then simply click and enjoy. To play a co-op game, you must have first loaded the level as a solo game before it will show up in the co-op game list, just like any other MythII solo level.

:::: 2. What IS Fall of Naugrimin?
-----------------------------------------

The Fall Of Naugrimin is a new solo map that takes place in the time period before even Myth:The Fallen Lords. Before the plague of darkness fell upon the civilized country to the West, in the heart of the Blasted Lands; the Ghl resided. But without provocation, the ghl's became organized, and wielded weapons of unknown origin... Directed by a mysterious force, the ghl's are now ready to wreak their ultimate vengeance upon the Dwarves. It is your mission to "...devour the Dwarves from existence..." by destroying all means of their defense as well as their underground explosives factory. Your 'master' has promised he will send his messenger to aid you in your directed vengeance. Beware Dwarves, Fang Grinder will dawn your doom.

:::: 3. Story
----------------------------------------

The Fall of Naugrimin takes place approximately 87 years before Myth:TFL. Situated in the far East, in the heart of the Blasted lands; the homeland of the ghl's and Dwarves. The following is the story from the point of view of a Dwarves archeologist reading a ancient journal entry. The Journal was left by one of the Doomed inhabitants of Naugrimin...

Eri, Son of Songard
Destroyed Dwarves Outpost;
Border of the Blasted Lands

The Following was found in a journal left by one of the inhabitants of the doomed dwarven outpost during a recent expedition. It recounts the events that lead to the outposts and it's inhabitants demise. I am preserving and recopying the texts for historical reference of what was the first large scale attack by the dark some Eighty-Five years ago:

Fourth rotation, First day of the New Moon

"Scouts bring back unsettling news. The ghls, once only looked upon as a pest, but had become armed with cleavers and are mounting organized raids on some of the outlying encampments; pillaging crypts and mausoleums. We fear the worst. Security of the outer walls of our outposts has been doubled and redoubled in preparation to meet any attacks the ghl send against us.

One thing I personally cannot figure out is who has organized the ghls?

Since time immemorial, the ghl have only been groups of warring tribes; all striving to kill the other, and us the dwarves when the chance presents it's self. We suspect that the great spire will be a target of any ghl raid's, due to the fact that most of the demolition materials are manufactured here. One last bit of unsettling news I would like to record . . . many have claimed to have seen a unusually large ghl with a uncommon back hide lurking in the distance. Many are quick to disperse this halftruth, but others; such as I believe threes always a bit of truth in every story. . .

::::4. Hints
-----------------------------------------
Rush Dwarven Patrols with one ghol to disrupt their formations, while keeping your ghol anarchists out of knife range.

Keep your Ghols out of range of Molotove throwing Dwarves, they like to rain on your parade.
Ghol Anarchists bomb can be picked up and 'diffused' by regular ghols, and thrown at a later date. Take advantage of this.

To penetrate the main Dwarven stronghold, use of the subterrain tunnel system can be VERY useful...

You do not have to attack all dwarves you come across. Sneaking past patrols can be usefull at times.
The dwarves have worked very hard on their gardens to get Watermelons to grow in such a dry climate. They also tend to become very angry is their gardens are blown up...

Dwarves like to host dance party in remote locations. There always a friendly bunch, and might let the ghols dance with them....

Units/scenery/sounds/Fear editing/Loathing/Pregame, Postgame artwork/Scripting/ everything else: Ernie (Me Blayne Scott)

I has always envisioned a map in which I could command a army (or at least a small strike force) of ghouls. You see I'm the kind of Guy who chooses the Maximum number of ghl's instead of a Trow in any given map, I just like the design.

Special Thanks to:
Troll: For giving some advice and insight into how to actually pull off a GEOM tag properly in scripting as well as beta testing the map.

The Pope (no not the one in the Vatican) for allowing me to use his Water well scenery item.

KVLtv: for the use of his ghl Anarchist unit (I always wanted a ghl without a cleaver!)

KillSwitch: For his converting the Desert Temple 3D model from Myth TFL to Myth II and allowing me to use it.

Drell: For taking pictures of the Mesh with Chris Butchers program "Plugin Viewer"

CW (swirly@mpinet.net) for the use of his scenery items from "The Bones of Feros" scenery tagset pack Volume I + II

Darth Maul for doing final Beta test of the map. He also requested that I mention that "he did not steal the 'ghol anarchist' unit idea from me, nor I did not from him. We both got permission from KVLtv to use in out respective ghol related maps."

And the "Model Makers of Murthemnie" by making and releasing their 'newwallraise' and 'netwallfall' 3D models (which go together with the Venicewall models that are buit into myth II) Also to who made the Dwarven Statue scenery item found at Creation HL. (R.I.P)

GraphicConverter: I have NO idea how anyone without Adobe Photoshop on the Mac could make any images for myth II that require a color table without it!

Adobe PhotoDeluxe: Used for the graphics effects seen in the Pregame and postgame pictures.
(NOTE: I DID NOT just scan the Myth II booklet to get that ghl picture for the pregame. I used it as a guide to get the muscle structure right. Not bad eh?)

Amber: By Vodi. Again, I have no idea on how ANY solo campaign (at least a half desent one) could be made without it.

and......
Transmit by Panic Software: I used this cool FTP tool to bring files bettween my iMac and upstairs 6500/250 Powermac.
