:::: Story
-----------------------------------------------

Augest 10, village of Wolf,

My King, friend, and father,
Lord Aleric of the Court of the Nine Moons

There is trouble in the north my lord. As you may recall, many months ago I set out on a journey that forhence has brought me across your country from top to bottom. As I remember, the night I told you I was leaving you were not pleased, and if I may say so sire, you were furious. I wrote this letter to serve two purposes. First I would like to admit to my king that I was wrong in leaving. I should not have left. I know that these words will not break the barrier between us, but I desperately hope that it will create a bridge for the future. I am in your debt father.

The second part of this message is very puzzling, and I believe that it bears a great deal of thought. I have made a discovery! I cannot tell you all, for if this message fell into the wrong hands, it could mean disaster for this entire nation, but I can tell you this:

While passing through the lost kingdom of Yer-Kes, we met with a great storm and my boat was smashed against a rock, killing most of the crew. I was among the few that did survive. As we stumbled through the flooded city of Loreron, we saw a light in the distance. Assuming it to be the mainland, we headed straight for it. But it was not the mainland father. In fact it was farther out to sea than when we started but that is not the important part. Upon closer inspection, we discovered it to be a huge resurrected palace, and hovering in the shadows of its walls was Zarixd. To escape death at the hands of the frigid waters of the ocean just to blindly stumble into the hands of Zarixd was a cruel fate. Yet, at the very ends of their existence, my men found the strength to vanquish this evil foe. Using the tricks you taught me, we were able to kill the shade and his army of darkness.

As you know well, shades do not die easily, and as I drew out my sword after the fatal blow, using the last of his strength, Zarixd prophesised our doom. In his exact words he said "Listen to me now, upon my death, the ages shall change and a new power shall be born into this world. They shall sweep across the lands like a stampede, coming out of the ocean and destroying all that is in their path. Beware! They shall return!"

The locals have told me about a village not too far from here that sits just on the coast. I have sent a scouting party to this place called Wolf just to be sure. I wish I could doubt the words of the shade, but there was such a sense of certainty in his voice that I fear he may be right. Pray to God and help us all if he is…

:::: Description
-----------------------------------------------
This map was made entirely by me, Swiftdeath. It is my first map ever and hopefully not my last, although I feel pretty tired right now =)

The map is set in the middle of the heat of the summer. With the birds singing from their perches in the big birches and the fish jumping in the easy going river that runs through the centre of the map. A very innocent place for what is set to happen. There is a world knot to the northeast and the southwest. To the northwest is a small village although in the local’s eyes it is a city. All this lies in the land of the Old Kingdom now referred to as the drowned kingdom. What evil lies in this place will be uncovered and thrown back for all the world to see. It then becomes your job to destroy it!

:::: How to use
-----------------------------------------------
To use this map first you must unstuff the plugin. Then place it in your plugin folder. The second step is to download (if you don't already have it) the hexographica plugin and a tag extracter. Then extract the tags from the plugin and use that as your local. Go into myth, hold down shift and you should see the level TR: Ambush At Three Pools in the list.

:::: Hints
-----------------------------------------------

• There are mandrake roots scattered around the map
• Be wary of the water
• The knights travel much slower in deep water than on land so use that as an advantage
• Try and save as many units as possible to the very end. You will need them
• If one path looks very difficult try a different route
