ADT - Munitions Base

REQUIRES ADT TAGSET v1.3 or greater

This Myth II plugin is based on Alien: Dark Tide, created by Strangelet and TMBM. As noted above, it requires the Alien: Dark Tide Tagset, available at the Mill. For more information, visit this website: http://clix.to/darktide

The Munitions Base is a USCM ordinance storage facility located deep within a remote mountainous region of an unnamed planet on the fringes of known space. The only means of access to this secure compound is by air...regular dropship runs bring dangerous ordinance to and from the base while Marine warships like the Sulaco await resupply in low orbit.

Unfortunately, no place is safe from the Alien menace...and humans sometimes prove to be their own worst enemies.

This file contains three meshes:

„ADT: Munitions Base - S2
Includes 2 start locations, situated on opposing sides of the complex. Unit Trading enables a wide variety of troop combinations; The all-human starting force can be replaced with an all-alien horde, or customized extensively for a combination of the two. Enough extra units are available through unit trading to enable specialized groups; for example, a player might field a force of mostly standard grenade-shooting marines, or instead purchase as many as three power loaders, or an offensive line of eight smartgunners, or...well, you get the idea. The Assassination game includes not only a tough Assassin target to slay (Ripley), but also a specialized assassin with which to stalk her (The Marine Sniper).

Supported Game Types:
Body Count
Kick the Colonist (Steal the Bacon)
Last Man on the Hill
Capture the Flag
Territories
Captures
King of the Hill
Evac (Stampede)
Assassination
Bug Hunt (Hunting)

„ADT: Munitions Base - S4
Includes 4 start locations with human units only, situated in the corners of the complex. The number of units varies with difficulty: A single Marine fights solo at Timid, while Legendary includes a sizable and mixed fighting force on each team.

Supported Game Types:
Body Count
Kick the Colonist (Steal the Bacon)
Last Man on the Hill
Capture the Flag
Territories
King of the Hill
Evac (Stampede)
Assassination
Bug Hunt (Hunting)

„ADT: Munitions Base - Sniper Elimination
Includes 12 start locations with a single Marine Sniper unit. The sniper is accompanied by a single facehugger at Normal difficulty, two more facehuggers at Heroic, and a total of five facehuggers on Legendary. In the Assassination game, he's joined by Ripley, the Assassin target.

Supported Game Types:
Body Count
Kick the Colonist (Steal the Bacon)
Last Man on the Hill
Territories
Captures
King of the Hill
Assassination
Bug Hunt (Hunting)

Known bugs:
„ Explosive scenery and ammunition means that there is the potential for a lot of fire on this map; some systems may not be able to handle the load, and crashes are possble...especially when Incinerator Marines are involved. (If crashes are frequent, ask S2 players not to purchase Incinerators in unit trading, and avoid playing S4 matches of Heroic or Legendary difficulty.) Use at your own risk.
„ An increased occurance of Out Of Sync messages has been reported by playtesters. It is unclear if the Munitions Base plugin is directly reponsible, or if this is just coincidence. Removing other Aliens-related plugins (except for the Tagset, of course) seems to help alleviate the problem.
